Just like with the morning exercise, the next step is to quick write with your story in mind. Use all of your senses to accurately capture the details of your story.
There will be time to compose beautiful sentences later. Just focus on getting as many details down as possible.
This is a judgement-free zone. Unlike school where your teacher evaluates and judges your writing, I am not going to judge what you have written. And neither should you. Brainstorming is all about letting the ideas flow out of you - without judgement! This exercise is about generating material for a strong essay.
Think about:
Add as many specific details as possible.
Plan to free-write for at least 10-15 minutes.
This isn’t formal writing.
Don't create an outline.
Don't edit it your work.
In fact, don't even read what you've written! Just keep writing and get all your details down!
Next Steps: Go to the Essay Folder in CounselMore. and open Step 4: Quick Write. When finished, check the “Done” assignment box in CounselMore and wait for my feedback.
